Is Student Help Squad free for students? +
Yes — Student Help Squad is completely free for students. You can create your profile, search and apply for internships, book accommodation, store documents in DigiVault, and sign contracts at no cost. We also have an Earn with Us referral programme so you can earn while you use the platform.
How is Student Help Squad different from Milkround or Handshake? +
Unlike Milkround (a job board) or Handshake (careers engagement), Student Help Squad is an all-in-one platform. Beyond job listings, we offer accommodation search and booking, digital contract management, a full HR suite for employers, university monitoring dashboards, and lifestyle tools — all in one place. No other UK platform combines all of this.
Can my university sign up as a partner? +
Absolutely. We have a dedicated University portal that gives placement and careers teams real-time visibility of every student on placement — including attendance, performance, and progress reports. We offer custom pricing based on cohort size and can integrate with your existing student systems. Contact partnerships@studenthelpsquad.co.uk to arrange a demo.
Are all internship listings verified? +
Yes. Every employer on Student Help Squad goes through our verification process before they can post opportunities. We also check that all listed internships comply with UK employment law, including National Minimum Wage requirements. International students can filter listings by visa sponsorship availability.
Is my data safe on Student Help Squad? +
We take data security seriously. Student Help Squad is fully GDPR-compliant, registered with the ICO, and uses bank-grade encryption to protect all personal and financial data stored in DigiVault and across the platform. We never sell your personal data to third parties.
Do you have a mobile app? +
Our mobile-optimised web app works seamlessly on all devices. A dedicated iOS and Android app is in development — sign up to be notified when it launches. In the meantime, you can add the web app to your home screen for a native-app-like experience.
